Additionally, placing cameras in certain rooms of the home would be illegal to include the caregiver’s private bedroom or bathroom. While the children and elderly person would not need to know that home security cameras were used, most experts suggest they be told and the reason why so they know it is for protection and not spying on them. Another recommendation by experts is that one or more home security cameras should be installed near the front and rear entrance of the home. For the intruder, just seeing a camera in place is often all the homeowner needs to discourage a break-in.
